Trekdesk Review
All right, you have just realized that when you total up the hours spent sitting in a day it’s around 8. Multiply that by a conservative 5 days a week or 160 a month. In a year that will be 1920 hours.
Couple this with the fact that it is hard to get any exercise because of time constraints, weather or just plain lack of motivation.
The medical researchers and doctors have been constantly reminding us that exercise, diet, water, and fresh air are the way to go.
These basics are getting harder to come by in our busy, chemical laden world. On the exercise front, the treadmill desk is computer desk that is adapted so that the user walks on a treadmill while performing office tasks. Here is a review of the TrekDesk.
The TrekDesk can promote weight loss, help you feel better about work and life in general and even improve productivity.
Trekdesk Enhances Office Productivity
TrekDesk was formed with office productivity in mind as well as the fitness of employees. These desk treadmills have been around for several years and have been featured on various news bulletins around the nation, KMBC 9, Orlando news as well as the Today Show. This desk is really designed by people who understand office work and fitness.
PROS
Comes with several accessories. A manuscript holder for books, papers and accessories. Phone stand and file tray. A cup holder. Plenty of desk space. 72″ long x 34″ wide.
Multi-tier desk.
Maximum supported weight of 57Lbs. You can load this desk up without worrying and accommodates any laptop or keyboard sizes.
Can be used as a standalone adjustable height desk.
Height 5′ to 6’4″
Can integrate with almost any treadmill with minimum assembly and integration problems.
Comes with a 2 year warranty.
CONS
Does not come with a treadmill.
Assembly can be a challenge. Manuals are not easy to navigate or use. Do not misplace the little screws and small parts.
You will probably need a treadmill without a front panel because reaching the controls of the treadmill may be tricky under the desk. Best use is a treadmill that is side mounted.
Conclusion
The TrekDesk accessories are very cool if you are spending a considerable time at this desk treadmill. However, you will need a side mounted treadmill because a front panel treadmill will clash with the desk and just be too cumbersome. With the right svelte under desk treadmill, this could be a winner. Drop me a line if you have any queries or comments.
